Toward More Reliable, Evidence-based Practice
About
Christine Sutherland
As a therapist, a trainer, and a peer-reviewed and published author I join with very many health professionals around the world who are examining the evidence for much of current theory and finding that it falls far short of the claims made. Isn’t it time we collaborated in a more focussed way to recognise the deep flaws in research and the resulting proliferation of fanciful hypothetical frameworks at the coalface of therapy, and wholeheartedly moved toward a more accurate understanding of what ails our clients and how best to help them?

We’ve made a decision to put almost everything we do on Substack, since that’s convenient for more and more of our colleagues who are pulling their professional lives away from Twitter et al, and engaging in far more satisfying discussion and generously sharing resources with each other.
